Nearly eight years ago we signed our first lease and took our first step towards a massive leap of ambition that will soon land us in our for purpose world class training facility. 

This training facility will be built from the ground, up using our collective experience for the purpose of learning parkour.

Now we are mere months away from sticking that landing and have so much progress to show. 

MKIV Outrun Training Facility

The Outrun MKIV Training Facility was designed from the ground up to be a bespoke environment for training parkour.  Our 4th physical model was built with the 8 years of prior experience combined with the intention of creating something uniquely Outrun. Function, form and style were the priorities. 

With the help of parkour architect Mikkel Rugaard from Copenhagen, DE we believe we will produce the best physical representation of the Outrun experience we are capable of. 

Elements built into the design support practice, safeguard progressions, inspire exciting opportunities and present an aesthetic that captures students' imaginations and becomes a portal to an immersive training experience. 

Aesthetic inspiration was drawn from brutalism, outrun/cyberpunk, parkour pop-architecture (Lawrence Halprin), asian streetscapes (Hongkong/Tokyo/Shanghai) and our interest in creating something new to be experienced.

May 18th, the obstacle construction begins!

We have begun work on the new obstacles.  First things first, they are welded and framed.  

This week we are adding plywood to the steel frames.

So exciting to see this rad space come together.
